We require a 25 percent local match for federal grant funds, but for the 2017-18 grants, we didn’t ask programs to break out their local match by cash and in kind. However, we required that break out for 2018-19 grants. We applied the same ratio (2:1 cash to local match) to the 2017-18 total reported local match to calculate an appropriate cash amount.
